The PSN-A is a source of information for people interested in building their own seismograph stations and learning more about Alaskan earthquakes. People construct their own telescopes, aurora monitoring devices, and other scientific instruments. Why not a seismograph station? Having your own seismograph station in Alaska, which has over 50% of all U.S. earthquakes each year and hosted the second largest earthquake in the world, should be quite interesting.
